For · US Consultants & 1099 Contractors

An invoice app for independent consultants.

Strategy, management, technical, marketing, executive coaching - independent consulting is a high-fee, low-volume business. You need to send invoices that look like they cost something, track expenses meticulously, and have clean records when the IRS asks. VioBusiness does that, without a subscription bill arriving every month.

What you actually need. Polished invoices with a real PDF, not a Microsoft Office artifact. Net-30 or Net-15 terms built in. Multi-currency for international clients. Expense tracking with receipts. Year-end CSV your CPA can ingest in 30 seconds. $19.99 once.

i.The consultant invoice problem

Most consultants we've spoken to fall into one of three setups:

VioBusiness is none of the above. It's a phone-first app that sends professional invoices with your logo, your brand color, your business address, and a clean PDF the recipient takes seriously. Paid once.

iii.The consultant tax picture

For a US-based independent consultant working as a sole proprietor or single-member LLC:

VioBusiness records support all of these via CSV export. Your CPA gets the source data; the deductions and filings happen in their software.

v.Frequently asked

Can I add my company logo and brand colors?
Yes. Upload your logo in the Business Profile. Choose a brand color (Pro feature) that becomes the accent on PDFs - header, totals box, section markers. Same look across invoices, quotes, and contracts.
Can I use it for both 1099 contractor work and direct billing?
Yes - it's the same app. Some consultants invoice large corporate clients (who later issue 1099-NEC) and also bill smaller direct clients via Stripe. VioBusiness works for both. The 1099-NEC is issued by the client; your job is to keep clean records of invoices sent and paid.
What about LLC vs sole proprietor?
Works for any business structure. Put your legal business name (your personal name for sole proprietor, the LLC's registered name for an LLC) in the Business Profile and that name appears on every invoice.
